I SAW an interesting item on a news program last week about a residential Sydney street which has been closed off to through traffic, being open only to residents and buses now.
The reason is the street had become a convenient shortcut for parents driving their children to the local schools and the bumper-to-bumper through-traffic had become a nightmare for residents trying to exit their driveways...
