Extensive search for Lovisa Sjoberg enters day five

The search is continuing for missing woman Lovisa Sjoberg.

Lovisa Sjoberg, aged 48, was last seen spoken to on Tuesday 8 October 2024, however police believe she was last seen driving in a grey Mitsubishi Outlander with the NSW registration DF25BA about 7am Tuesday 15 October 2024 in the Kosciuszko National Park.

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Monaro Police District were notified (Monday 21 October 2024) and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

A command post has been established at the Kiandra courthouse, on the Snowy Mountains Highway, Kiandra.

Lovisa or 'Kiki' as her friends know her, is a well respected photographer.

A search was launched on (Monday 21 October 2024), involving officers attached to Monaro Police District with assistance from SES, RFS and National Parks and Wildlife Service. Members of public are also assisting in the search, which involves ATVs and the RFS Helicopter with infra-red capabilities.

Despite extensive efforts searching the Kosciuszko National Park, Lovisa has not been located.

She is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with an olive complexion, black hair and brown eyes.

Lovisa is known to frequent the Kiandra area and national parks around the Snowy Mountains.
