Kalkite residents erupt in applause as motion denied

THE Snowy Monaro Regional Council Chambers in Cooma erupted in applause at their meeting on Thursday after Council did not approve a rezoning proposal for Kalkite.
Kalkite residents cheered as Councillors Narelle Davis, Peter Beer, Craig Mitchell, Luke Williamson, Louise Frolich, Chris Hanna, Bob Stewart and Trisha Hopkins all voted against the motion.
Councillor Davis moved motion for Council not to approve the motion and Councillor Beer seconded the motion.
