Council eyes March closing date for Snowy River Hostel
A report to be tabled at this week’s council meeting, recommends the Snowy River Hostel aged care facility in Berridale close by the end of March.
Councillors voted unanimously at the July council meeting to defer making a decision on when and how Snowy River Hostel would close, citing the need for further community consultation to take place before reaching a final decision.
In a statement, Council said running the hostel has become financially unviable without government funding.
