The Jindabyne Lions Club gathered at the Lake Jindabyne Hotel on Wednesday evening November 8 to present member Brian Farmer an award medal for 50 year’s association with the club.
Lions Club of Canberra Valley and Second Vice District Governor, David McKenna was the guest of honour whom presented Mr Farmer with the award.
Such a pillar of the Jindabyne community Mr Farmer is very well known around town for his great contributions as well as his friendly demeanour, positive and welcoming attitude and has been on the receiving end of many awards and recognition over the year’s.
Mr Farmer, 81 years old, moved to Jindabyne in 1969 and has called it home for almost 50 years now.
