Thanks so much to everyone who came to Andrew’s funeral, and to those who sent cards, flowers and food.

It was amazing to see so many people who turned up to say farewell to a friend, colleague,

a mate and to support his family.

It was so lovely to catch up with so many.

I am sorry if I missed talking to anyone as it was a little crazy. The kids and I are so grateful for all your support.

Thanks to Cooma Hospital Oncology Unit for all your care.

your patience and care of Andrew.

Athol “Slip” Reid

The family of Athol “Slip” Reid would like to thank their kind and incredibly thoughtful family and friends for the flowers, cards, phone calls and food. You surrounded us with your love through your visits, kind words and hugs. Dad was truly loved by so many.

A very special heartfelt thankyou to Fr Mick, for your compassion and kindness. Our grieving hearts were in such gentle hands. 

To the St. Mary’s parishioners- we are so truly grateful for your heartfelt prayers and support. 

Diane and the wonderful ladies of Bombala Golf Club-you put on an amazing “spread” and Dad would have loved it. 

To the beautiful Shelley, Rosie, Clarissa, Helen and Julie and all the home care staff- you were Dad’s girls. We will be forever indebted to you for your unwavering advocation, attention and humour. Your tender care kept him out of trouble (it was hard we know!). He spoke about you every day. 

To Sylvia, Chris and Lucy at Bombala Medical Centre- knowing you were there for Dad (and Mum) meant more than you will know.

Dr Colin-decades of medical care,  thanks isn’t enough. 

To Dr Charlie and the Bombala hospital staff - we are so grateful for the care you provided.

Lastly to his dear mates-there are no words, thanks for being there especially over the last few years. 

The sun will not shine as bright anymore..

Marcus (Mark) Rick

The family of the late Marcus (Mark) Rick wish to express their deep appreciation of the many people who have assisted or sent messages of support during Mark’s recent illness.

The doctors and nurses in both Cooma and Canberra hospitals, especially Dr Christine Human who cared for Mark during his later years and Dr Brian Tugwell who accompanied him during his final few weeks.

Fr Mick McAndrew and Alan Dodd who not only led a prayerful requiem service but also provided a Zoom facility which enabled us to share the moment with so many people who were unable to attend.

Frances Robinson and her colleagues from St Patrick’s School who provided support including a guard of honour in the most appalling weather conditions.

Family and friends beyond closed borders and the local friends who simply were not able to attend.

Please accept our heartfelt gratitude.
