NEW art installations in the Kosciuszko National Park (KNP) are raising awareness for the Guthega skink as hikers walk along the Illawong Track.
Carved into granite boulders, a common feature of the Guthega skink’s habitat, these creative depictions are a reminder of the unique and vulnerable native animals hiding along the tracks, a spokesperson for National Parks and Wildlife Services (NPWS) said.
