Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are recognised allied health professionals and are specialised in their field, displaying a diverse range of knowledge and skills, working across a variety of areas in health, exercise and sport.The aim of an AEP intervention is to prevent or manage chronic disease or injury, and assist in restoring one’s optimal physical function, health and wellness.
Samantha Scott has just completed her degree in Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation at the University of Canberra.
She has completed more than 500 hours of clinical placement for her degree at many establishments including:
– Exercise Physiology Department, Canberra Hospital
– Cardiac Rehabilitation, Shoalhaven Cardiac Rehabilitation Service, Nowra
– Occupational Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation Specialist, Canberra
– Student Led Exercise Physiology Clinic, University of Canberra
Samantha will be bringing her expertise on exercise interventions to Cooma as she will be working at Fortitude Physiotherapy.
“I am pleased to be at Fortitude Physiotherapy, so I can provide a service to Cooma and the region which to date has been lacking. It will enable clients to be treated locally and not have to travel elsewhere such as to Canberra or Bega.”
