Rabbitohs bring smiles

The Bombala district has been very excited to welcome the South Sydney Rabbitohs to town, with homegrown star, Ky Rodwell bringing some teammates along for a meet and greet on Saturday.

Ky, a Rabbitoh who grew up in Bombala and was awarded the 2019 Jersey Flegg Players’ Player, was pleased to bring Cody Walker, Kurt Dillon and Bailey Sironen to his hometown for a couple of days.

On Saturday afternoon the Rabbits met with a host of locals at the touch footy ground, with the Bombala Junior Blue Heelers Rugby League Football Club being very well represented by boys and girls of all ages.

And of course there were plenty of others eager to meet with the Rabbitohs, from keen Souths fans to Ky’s own family and friends, as well as former teachers and junior footy coaches.

All four players introduced themselves to the group before handing out a swagload of Rabbitohs jerseys and footballs, generously provided by the South Sydney Club.
