3000 contest final Snowy Mountains L’Etape race

The fourth and final L’Etape Australia held in the Snowy Mountains was run and won last Saturday.

On Friday, Deputy Premier John Barilaro and Snowy Monaro Mayor Peter Beer took place in the official opening ceremony.

The Race Winners for the 2019 edition of L’Étape Australia by le Tour de France were presented on Saturday afternoon at Jindabyne.

More than 3000 riders competed in the biggest Tour de France event outside of Europe in challenging weather conditions through the NSW Snowy Mountains.

The Yellow jerseys for overall male and female Race winners were presented to Campbell Jones and Nadine Gill.

Second and third male Race winners were Jay Vine and Ben Metcalfe respectively, while second and third female Race winners were Jessica Pratt and Vicki Whitelaw.

Male and female winners of The Ride were Kent Carpenter and Gail Pearson.

The Polka Dot jerseys for the fastest male and female riders on the combined King of the Mountain sections also went to Jay Vine and Nadine Gill.
