Jindabyne’s new flying fox opened

Deputy Premier John Barilaro and Snowy Monaro mayor Peter Beer with the Jindabyne community at the opening of the flying fox in Banjo Paterson Park last Friday.

Community members and school students joined Member for Monaro John Barilaro and Snowy Monaro Regional Council Mayor Peter Beer last Friday 29 November to inspect and try out the new inclusive flying fox in Jindabyne.

Mr Barilaro said when he joined the community to open Livvi’s Place at Banjo Paterson Park back in 2016, there was just one thing missing.

“We had one final touch to make to ensure this amazing playground reached its full potential,” Mr Barilaro said.

“I’m so glad to join the community today to celebrate this achievement. This playground is already a special place but we can now be assured that it will bring our children even more smiles,”

The NSW Government committed $100,000 to the project, to ensure the Jindabyne community and visitors had the best playground possible.

Cr Beer said the playground will bring joy to children of all ages and abilities for many years to come.
