Cooma clothing store Birdsnest has won 2019 eftpos Australian Retailers Association Awards in two major categories – the Excellence in Customer Experience Award and the Independent Retailer Of The Year Award.
The awards were announced on Thursday August 15.
Birdsnest was founded by local entrepreneur Jane Cay with only four staff members. Launching online in 2008 saw Birdsnest harness the power of the internet to create a business which now employs 150 locals, posting parcels to all corners of Australia and beyond.
“The real magic of this business began when we realised we were in the service industry.
“We are the matchmaker between the girl and her perfect outfit which goes way beyond providing a vast range of styles for different body shapes and personalities. We inspire confidence in women by solving wardrobe dilemmas,” says Mrs Cay.
The 2019 Manhattan Associates Excellence in Customer Experience Award acknowledges not only the customer service, but also the entire customer journey – and Birdsnest are all about the journey.
They have made it their mission to help women find outfits that make them feel amazing inside and out, offering personalised styling advice and style recommendations, express delivery, styled outfit inspiration, nohassle 365 day returns, and a vast range of brands and sizes for all body shapes.
With dedicated customer service team answering all e-mails, calls, chats and social communication, it’s clear to see that Birdsnest have a high ‘care factor’ and a team that are empowered to delight and surprise customers in ways that don’t fit a policy.
